RANKED HIGHEST TO LOWEST FOR THE YEAR

My 7 point scoring system has 7 categories we rank 0-1. 2 of the 7 categories are handicapped. Those two categories include appearance and availability. The remaining 5 categories are nose, palate, finish, body, and value. Any score of 3 or better is bar worthy. Any score of 4 or better is bunker some just in case the whiskey you love is no longer made!

At the end of the year my top 3-5 bourbons are sent to our top tier Patreon members for a blind tasting live on YouTube where we crown our Bourbon of the Year! Criteria to make the top 3-5 list includes score of course, must have bought bottle close to MSRP, and must have found bottle on the shelf. After all, what’s the point of naming a bourbon of the year that no one can get their hands on unless they spend crazy amounts of money on secondary.
